
Keeping your hands clean is one of the main prevention strategies against coronavirus. In addition to the priority option for soap and water, another option is the use of alcohol gel. However, the recommendation is for it to be used only at a concentration of 70%.
“Whether water and soap or 70% alcohol gel, both forms of hygiene are equally effective,” says Leonardo Weissmann, an infectious disease physician and consultant at the Brazilian Society of Infectious Diseases.

A 70° INPM product, contains 70 g of alcohol for every 100 g of the solution. A 70° GL product, on the other hand, contains 70 ml of alcohol for every 100 ml of the solution. Thus, the higher the graduation, the greater the percentage of alcohol.
